Kicks, energy and attitude on the floor — uptempo, millennium and newstyle
The streetfight dance was born in the rave scene of Northern Europe, mixing the energy of hardstyle with the expressiveness of street dance. Its moves evoke a stylised fight — kicks, feints and strikes turned into dance — all synced to the kick of the music. It is a physical, hard-hitting and visually striking style.
Sharing the same scene is newstyle, a sister style but a different one: bouncier, livelier, with more expressive and festive body language. Both share the floor but have their own foundations, different music genres and a very loyal community.
The most recognisable move of the style. High, front or side kicks, executed with precision and attitude.
The arms follow the fighting style — blocks, hooks and feints that give character and counterweight to the movement.
Syncing with the uptempo or millennium kick is key. Every hit in the music becomes a specific move.
The transitions between kicks, spins and floor moves define the dancer's quality. Nothing should look forced.

Newstyle
Newstyle music
The sister style of streetfight but with its own personality: bouncier, livelier and more expressive. It is danced to newstyle music. Its main reference point is La Caseta de Masia in Valencia, where people dance for hours on end without stopping.
